About SheRecs
SheRecs is a female-founded platform designed to make women's lives easier by helping us connect around sourcing quality self, family, and home care service providers from each other. Though there are other ways–from apps to phoning a friend–to find service providers, SheRecs simplifies the search and amplifies the results by providing an efficient way for community members to share Recs with and source Recs from our friends and, to the extent we choose, our neighbors and the wider SheRecs community. In doing so, we also hope to stimulate the trusted, quality businesses our community recommends. Though SheRecs is designed by women with women's needs in mind, it is open to any adult users who could use–and share–a little help.
SheRecs makes it easy to find who you trust trusts by pairing lite social networking with our RecList, which allows women to easily catalogue and pull Recs. SheRecs' RecList is not limited to one category of services but instead includes a thorough menu of self, family, and home care services and is nuanced to meet the full and specific needs of women across life stages. Though comprehensive in scope, the mostly closed-ended detail inputs make finding exactly what you're looking for simple. Whether you're a college student in a new town looking for a hair braider who works weekends, an expectant mother desperate to find a night nurse you can feel comfortable with, an elderly woman in need of a hand maintaining your home, or anyone in between, SheRecs–and your community here–can help you find the help you need.
SheRecs was founded in 2025 by Ashley Foxworth, who has been toying with ways to help make women and families' lives easier for years.
